NEW THIS YEAR, to help celebrate our 60th Anniversary, we’re inviting families of campers to stick around camp (following our Closing Campfire) to enjoy some great camp experiences TOGETHER. This is included as part of your camp registration. Help us celebrate 60 years of kids coming to camp to grow and connect in Christ by spending some time here yourself!
The new schedule for pick-up day this year is as follows:
CAMP LAKEVIEW SIDE
2:00-2:35 Closing Campfire (Amphitheater)
2:35-3:00 Sign-Out Camper
3:00-5:30 Experience Camp Together (E.C.T.) Time
LAKEVIEW VILLAGES SIDE
3:00-3:35 Closing Campfire (Village Lodge Point)
3:35-4:00 Sign-Out Camper
4:00-5:30 Experience Camp Together (E.C.T.) Time
All families are encouraged to attend Closing Campfire, a time of worship and devotion where we celebrate the week of camp together and pray for the campers as they prepare to head home.
Following Closing Campfire, you will meet with your camper’s counselor to sign them out.
After signing out your camper, enjoy some Experience Camp Together (E.C.T.) time! ECT time runs until 5:30 pm, and you are welcome to stay for as long or as little as you like. Check out your camper’s favorite activities and places on camp, hear their stories from the week, meet other staff and campers they got to know, grab some food at the Dining Hall, and more!
We hope you have a blast, and that this time is an awesome way to end the week AND allows you a meaningful glimpse into the memories and stories from your child’s time at camp. See you on Friday!
What activities will be available to do during ECT time?
So many! Swimming. Boating. Zip Lining. Horse Rides in the Corral. Archery. Hatchet Throwing. BB Guns. Mini Golf. Climbing Tower. Slip n Sliding. And more!
Our staff will be leading all these different activity areas, and you will be able to bounce around with your camper and try as many activities as you want!
We’ll also have the Shirt Shack and Canteen open for you to enjoy, and will be providing free Grab n Go meals at the Dining Hall and Village Lodge during ECT time.
Do I have to stay for the whole time?
No, it’s flexible! While we hope that families will make the most of the opportunity to spend time at camp with their camper, hearing all their stories and memories from the week and seeing the places they got to go to during their time at camp, you are free to head out whenever you need to once you sign out your camper.
Is this just for parents?
Nope. Any family members who come to help pick up your camper are welcome to enjoy ECT time. That includes siblings, grandparents, etc.
We do ask that all children are supervised by adults at the activity areas, so make sure to keep an eye on your kids and your camper, as our staff will be occupied facilitating the activities. Plus, the whole point is to experience camp TOGETHER. 😉
