Zipline

Camp Lakeview campers are enjoying the new 275′ zipline which was built in the spring of 2011. This zipline has a 30′ launching tower with interior stairway, which provides an easy access point for those willing take the leap of faith. All participants wear protective gear and safety harnesses and the entire activity is supervised by trained personnel, making it completely safe. But the “perceived danger” that you feel while standing on the top of the tower creates a challenge to overcome at the start of a thrill ride that you will not soon forget.

The zipline at the Lakeview Villages site is more geared toward older campers. It features a 350′ line over a small ravine and a different method of getting to the launching platform — by climbing the footholds imbedded in the trunk of a tree. With this one, the challenge begins once you leave the ground!
